Renowned actress Azmeri Haque Badhan, celebrated for her stellar performances in films and web series, will no longer be a part of Lamia Chowdhury's highly anticipated film, "Meyeder Golpo."

The female-centric project, penned and directed by Lamia, marked a deeply personal endeavor for the filmmaker. Lamia is the daughter of late actors Diti and Sohel Chowdhury, and the film's conception dates back over a decade.

Initially, her mother was set to produce and star in the movie, but the project faced delays following Diti's untimely passing.

When asked about her departure from the film, Badhan shared with Daily Samakal, "I am no longer involved with the project, so I prefer not to discuss it further."

Lamia, addressing the situation, attributed the decision to several factors, including business considerations. Speaking to a local media outlet, she said, "Several factors come into play when making a film, and business considerations are one of them. Because of this and other reasons, we couldn't reach an agreement. The project that was planned with Azmeri Haque Badhan is currently not happening."

Despite this setback, Lamia remains hopeful about the film's future. In an earlier Facebook post from May, she shared her emotional connection to the project, noting that the script was originally edited by Anam Biswas.

Since then, she has refined the story, hoping to complete the film with a team that aligns with her vision.

"I have invested a great deal of effort into it. I aim to finish this project, even if it takes a little longer, with those who share the same vision. I hope to bring good news in the upcoming year," she concluded.
