Actress Jaya Ahsan has condemned the attack on indigenous students and their supporters protesting the removal of graffiti featuring the term "indigenous" (Adivasi in Bangla) from textbooks. Yesterday, she voiced her concerns on social media, calling for an end to all forms of discrimination in the country.

Jaya wrote on her official Facebook page, "The sight of the road stained with the blood of indigenous citizens is deeply unsettling. This blood reflects the pain of a wounded soul, born out of the Anti-discrimination Students Movement, considering the indigenous community stood in solidarity with students protesting against intolerance."

"We speak of eliminating constitutional discrimination, yet simultaneously attack indigenous communities in the name of that very constitution. Is our belief truly justified? May all forms of discrimination be eradicated from this nation," she added.
