The action-packed trailer for Ballerina, the highly-anticipated spinoff of the John Wick franchise, has finally arrived. The next chapter in the John Wick saga, Ballerina, is set to hit theaters on June 6, 2025. This adrenaline-fueled action thriller, starring Ana de Armas as Eve Macarro, a Ruska Roman ballerina turned deadly assassin, is set to deliver non-stop suspense and excitement.

Directed by Len Wiseman and written by Shay Hatten, Ballerina takes place between the events of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum and John Wick: Chapter 4, thrusting the focus on Eve’s origins and her relentless quest for vengeance. After her family’s brutal murder, Eve sets out to take down the ruthless hitmen responsible, utilising her skills as a ballerina and a lethal assassin.

The trailer showcases Eve’s precision and style, slicing through her enemies with ease, from ice skate-wielding attacks to dousing flamethrowers with a high-powered hose. But what’s most exciting is her encounter with the legendary Baba Yaga himself, John Wick (Keanu Reeves). Reeves reprises his iconic role, playing a substantial part in the film, as confirmed by writer Shay Hatten.

Fans are quite excited for the spinoff, especially seeing Ana De Armas returning in an action avatar. They took to the comments section to pour in their love for the big film release. One fan wrote, ” If this hits… We’re gonna get Ballerina Part 2 and Part 3,” another fan wrote, “What the Black Widow movie should have been,” another person commented, “Yesss, Ana De Armas Meet Keanu Reeves again, just like Knock Knock Movie,” yet another person wrote, “Ana De Armas’s 5-minute action scene was the best part of the last James Bond movie. I’m so glad we’re gonna get more from her.”

Ana had recently opened up about her grueling experience filming Ballerina in Prague alongside Keanu Reeves. During her January appearance on The Tonight Show, she shared, “We still have one more month to go. And I’m in pain. You know, my body, my back, everything hurts. I’m complaining, I’m sore, I’m bruised.”

“Keanu and I were rehearsing our very difficult stunt scene, and this man is just rolling and throwing me and doing these crazy stunts,” Ana recalled. “And I’m like, ‘I can’t complain anymore.’ Because he is doing it. He truly is the best,” she had added.

Joining Ana de Armas are franchise veterans Ian McShane, Anjelica Huston, and the late Lance Reddick, along with newcomers Gabriel Byrne, Catalina Sandino Moreno, and Norman Reedus. In the movie, the audiences will witness John Wick’s legacy continue, Eve Macarro ready to take center stage and Ana de Armas unleash her deadly skills and experience the high-octane action that’s made the John Wick series a global phenomenon.
