The Mexican government has expanded its list of worldwide visa application destinations for Bangladeshi nationals, simplifying the process for visiting the Latin American country.
Previously, Bangladeshi citizens were required to approach the Mexican Embassy in New Delhi for visa applications, said a foreign ministry press release.
Under the newly announced facilities, Bangladeshi nationals can now submit their visa applications at any Mexican Embassy or Consulate in the Asia-Pacific region or other locations worldwide.
This development is expected to enhance connectivity, promote trade and investment, promote cultural exchanges and facilitate greater people-to-people interaction between Bangladesh and Mexico.
Notably there is no Mexico embassy in Bangladesh and the country maintains ties only through a honourary consulate in Dhaka.
Mexican immigration regulations allow visitors from all countries to enter and stay in its territories for up to 180 days without a Mexican visa, provided that they possess valid passports and valid visas for travels to Canada, the United States of America, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the Schengen Area countries.
