Chief Adviser Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus said his interim government will seek extradition of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina who fled to India after the fall of the Awami League regime in the face of a student-led mass uprising on August 5.

"We must ensure justice in every killing. The works on the initiative we have taken to hold the trail of July-August killings are progressing well. We will also ask India to send back fallen autocrat Sheikh Hasina," he said in an address to the nation on the completion of 100 days of the interim government.

State-run Bangladesh Television and BTV World broadcast his address.

Prof Yunus said during the revolution, about 1500 people, including students and workers, embraced martyrdom while 19,931 others were wounded.

"Our government is very carefully to collect information on every death," he said, adding that the government made arrangements for treatment of the injured in various specialized hospitals, including 13 hospitals in Dhaka.

Every day more new martyrs are getting added to the list of those who left this world due to the outrage of dictatorship.
