Construction works of 100-bed burn unit to begin after PM’s China visit-Dr Sen

Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Samanta Lal Sen said the construction works of 100-bed burn and plastic surgery unit will begin here after the Prime Minister’s China visit.
The minister said this while visiting the designated place for construction of a 100-bed burn and plastic surgery unit in city’s Surson road here this morning.
The health minister said China wants to complete the construction works of the building within two years, he said.
“We also want to start the unit with everything at the same time. We are moving forward with that plan,” he added.
Later, the minister visited some wards of Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH) and exchanged views with the doctors.
Dr Sen expressed his surprise after hearing that the MRI machine was broken in CMCH for a long time and assured to take quick action to solve this problem.
Later, Dr Samanta Lal visited Hathajari Upazila Health Complex to observe the quality of health care facilities at the village level and talked to the patients and doctors about various facilities in the hospital.
After that the health minister also visited a community clinic at Jobra village of Fatepur Union. During this time, to verify the quality of medical care, he tested his diabetes by the health worker in charge of the community clinic.
