Chinese envoy Yao Wen calls on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina

Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen paid a courtesy call to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her official residence Ganabhaban on Tuesday.
Ambassador Yao said that with the common care and promotion of the leaders of the two countries, the China-Bangladesh Strategic Partnership of Cooperation has been continuously deepened and practical cooperation in various fields has achieved fruitful results, bringing tangible benefits to the two peoples, a press release said.
He noted that both China and Bangladesh are at a critical stage of development and revitalization, facing severe international situations. China is willing to strengthen the exchange of experience in governance between the two countries, and continue to deepen all-round cooperation with Bangladesh.
He also stressed that China is committed to encouraging more Chinese enterprises to invest in Bangladesh, strengthening people-to-people exchange, and supporting Bangladesh in playing a bigger role in international and regional affairs, so as to help Bangladesh achieve its "Vision 2041" and "Smart Bangladesh" at an early date.
Ambassador Yao also exchanged views with the Prime Minister on issues of common concern including international issues and the repatriation of the forcibly displaced Myanmar nationals.
