No room for ego: Swastika on embracing new roles

Swastika Mukherjee recently shared a heartfelt post alongside a collection of photos. She reflected, "Despite a 24-year-long career, I still attend auditions. I am thankful for my curious and eager nature. My mother taught me to dress up early in life, including how to drape a saree in just one minute."

"I began my journey at 20-21 years old, and now, at 44, I continue to explore new roles in a different city, seeking opportunities to enrich my life. This city now feels like a second home. The word I cherish most is perseverance."

Recently, the actress marked her 44th birthday by sharing a series of photos on social media. In these snapshots, she sported oversized pink sunglasses and showcased a natural look, wearing only a hint of light lipstick.

Alongside the pictures, Swastika penned a heartfelt note, stating, "Happy 44th birthday to you. There was a time you feared the grey, but now it gleams brighter than silver. Some may see tiredness in these eyes, but I see the depth of experience. What others call dark circles, I recognise as the marks of achievement."

In an open letter to herself, Swastika further wrote, "Remember, I am always with you. Even if you are not there, I will be. Happy birthday, my dear Swastika Mukherjee. Keep moving forward, carrying your sweetness with you."
