Coldplay’s Mumbai concerts fall flat

Coldplay's Music of the Spheres tour opened in Mumbai last Saturday with a second show on Sunday, with tickets selling out instantly and resale prices skyrocketing to as much as $1,800—far exceeding the original $145. 

 

Despite the hype, the concert left many disappointed, with social media flooded with criticism. Fans complained about the dull atmosphere, with many attendees comparing the crowd to a "library." Others mocked the passive audience, suggesting they could have brought books to read.

The general sentiment was that attendees were more focused on capturing Instagram-worthy moments than enjoying the music. 

This marked Coldplay's second India performance since 2016. The band, led by Chris Martin, will next perform in Ahmedabad on 25 and 26 January. Known for hits like 'Yellow' and 'A Sky Full of Stars', Coldplay continues their tour despite mixed reactions from Indian fans.
