Bangladesh secured their place in the Super Six stage of the ICC Women's U-19 World Cup with an 18-run victory over Scotland in their final Group D match in Selangor on Wednesday.

Captain Sumaiya Akter played a crucial innings, scoring an unbeaten 29 off 36 deliveries, guiding Bangladesh to 121 for nine in their 20 overs. Leg-spinner Anisa Akter Shova then delivered an impressive spell, claiming four wickets for 25 runs to restrict Scotland to 103 for eight.

This victory marked Bangladesh's second win in three matches. They commenced their campaign with a five-wicket triumph over Nepal before suffering a narrow two-wicket loss to Australia.

The Super Six stage will consist of two groups, each comprising six teams, from which four teams will advance to the semi-finals.
