Robert Pattinson is reuniting with acclaimed director Christopher Nolan for the latter's highly anticipated next film with Universal Pictures. According to Variety, the project, still under wraps, boasts a stellar cast that already includes Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Lupita Nyong'o, Anne Hathaway, and Zendaya.

Following the massive success of "Oppenheimer", Nolan is expected to begin filming the new movie in the first half of 2025. For Pattinson, 2025 is shaping up to be a busy year, with Warner Bros planning to film a sequel to "The Batman", where he'll reprise his role as the DC superhero.

The actor is also involved in A24's "Primetime", a thriller inspired by the show "To Catch a Predator", marking the debut feature of rising filmmaker Lance Oppenheim, which is expected to begin production in early 2025.

Adding to his packed schedule, Pattinson's next big release, Bong Joon-Ho's sci-fi comedy "Mickey 17", is slated to hit theaters on April 18, 2025.

This US $150 million production from Warner Bros marks the Korean director's follow-up to his Oscar-winning film "Parasite" and is sure to bring a host of promotional duties for Pattinson.

Pattinson previously worked with Nolan on "Tenet", the director's last film for Warner Bros., before tensions arose over the studio's handling of its release during the Covid pandemic. The strained relationship led Nolan to partner with Universal for his Oscar-winning film "Oppenheimer".

Interestingly, Pattinson played a small but memorable role in the development of "Oppenheimer". After wrapping "Tenet", he gifted Nolan a book of J Robert Oppenheimer's speeches. Two years later, Nolan announced that his next project would indeed be a biopic about the physicist behind the atomic bomb.

Universal has scheduled the release of Nolan's new film for July 17, 2026, which will be shown in theatres and Imax.
