Medium, long term plans to be taken to make capital market vibrant: Salehuddin

Financial Adviser Salehuddin Ahmed has said that the government will undertake medium and long term plans to restore the investors’ confidence in the capital market.
He made the statement while talking to journalists after a meeting with the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) regarding the current situation of the capital market on Wednesday.
“We discussed the current issues in the stock market and our commitment to addressing the problems. We aim to improve previous arrangements to align more closely with international standards. We will also develop medium and long term plans to ensure a more stable market,” he said.
The financial adviser also noted that the meeting addressed the liquidity problem and mutual funds, and assured that support would be provided to help resolve these issues.
