BNP to go on nationwide rallies for early JS polls

BNP has decided to become active in the field by organising rallies across the country on various issues, including the urgency of the national election and fostering anti-Awami League sentiment among the countrymen.
This decision was made during a meeting of the party's standing committee held at BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia's Gulshan office in the capital on Monday night.
BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman joined the meeting virtually from London.
According to BNP insiders, the party aims to remain vigilant with its programmes, ensuring that the cohorts of the ousted fascist regime cannot carry out any plans to undermine the current interim government.
The BNP also intends to inform the public about the current situation, highlight its 31-point state reform proposal, and demand a clear election roadmap.
The rallies, expected to start in November, will also address demands for controlling the prices of essential commodities, withdrawing false cases against leaders and activists of opposing political parties—including Khaleda Zia and Tarique Rahman—and removing Awami League affiliates from various sectors, including the administration.
BNP's policy making body noted the lack of a clear statement from the government regarding the election roadmap, expressing concerns that some individuals are conspiring to create a constitutional crisis related to the removal of the president, potentially delaying the elections.
