Light to moderate rain or thundershowers likely to occur over the country

Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over the country, said a Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) bulletin on Monday.

"Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions; at many places over Dhaka division and at a few places over Khulna, Barisal and Chittagong divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country" the bulletin said.

The day temperature may fall slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, it added.

Country's maximum temperature on Sunday was recorded at 36.2°C at Mongla and minimum temperature on Monday was 23.5°C at Netrokona.

The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours till 6am on Monday was recorded at 96mm in Tetulia.

The sun sets at 6:42pm on Monday and rises at 5:28am on Tuesday in the capital.
