Bus driver and assistance are under arrest following the death of university student Nadia

Nadia, a student at Northern University, was killed in a bus accident on Sunday afternoon in front of Jamuna Future Park on Kuril Bishwa road. The bus driver and his assistant have been arrested in connection with the incident.

The arrestees were identified as bus driver Md Liton, 38, and his helper Md Abul Khayer, 22.

Police arrested them form Badda area of the capital on Monday morning.

Nadia Sultana, 20, was a student of Pharmacy Faculty in Northern University.

According to locals, Nadia and her friend Mehedi Hasan were on a motorcycle when a bus of ‘Victor Transport’ from Uttara hit the vehicle from behind and ran over her, leaving her dead on the spot.

However, Mehedi remained unhurt in the accident.
