Major (retd) Akhtaruzzaman expelled from BNP

Former BNP MP Major (retd) Akhtaruzzaman Ranjan has been expelled from the party for his alleged involvement in anti-party activities.
The information was given in a letter signed by BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Sunday afternoon.
According to the letter, the BNP has been expelled from all levels including membership in accordance with Article 5 (c) of the constitution due to his involvement in violating party discipline.
Former Kishoreganj district BNP president Major (retd) Akhtaruzzaman was the BNP candidate for Kishoreganj-2 (Katiadi-Pakundia) constituency in the last election. He lost the election to Awami League candidate and former IGP Nur Mohammad.
