The interim government is working to hold parliamentary election by December this year, according to a member of the advisery council.
“The interim government will strive to conduct the elections by December,” said Health Advisor Nurjahan Begum, following her visit to the Companiganj Upazila Health Complex in Sylhet on Saturday.
Nurjahan also emphasised that health sector reforms would be prioritised once the report from the health commission is released. She criticised various past projects, calling the medical system fragile.
During her visit, the health adviser participated in a view-exchange meeting with teachers at Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College. Addressing the event, Nurjahan stated that action would be taken against those involved in corruption and irregularities, based on the findings of the reform report.
