BNP associate bodies' march towards Agartala begins

Three BNP-affiliated organisations -- Jubo Dal, Swechchasebak Dal, and Chhatra Dal – began long march towards Agarlata in protest against what they said Indian aggression.
Thousands of leaders and activists joined the daylong march started from the party's Nayapaltan central office at 9:00am. The long march will end at Brahmanbaria's Akhaura border.
The long march was inaugurated by BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.
In a brief speech, he said, "India does not want Bangladesh to be governed by the will of its people."
The organisations' leaders and activists started gathering at Nayapaltan to join the road march, wearing coulourful caps, carrying placards and posters since 7:00am today.
The three organisations held a short rally before starting the road march.
The long march will reach the Akhaura border by evening, traveling through Narayanganj, and Narsingdi by road.
The march will hold a roadside rally at Bhairab intersection where leaders from the three organisations are expected to address the participants.
