"Pushpa 2: The Rule," starring Allu Arjun, has taken the global box office by storm, raking in over Rs 800 crore in just four days. The highly anticipated sequel, directed by Sukumar, is projected to cross the Rs 1,000 crore mark before the end of its first week in theatres.

This phenomenal success is largely driven by its performance in the Hindi-speaking market, where the film has broken several records.

Trade analyst Ramesh Bala confirmed on X that the film's worldwide earnings surpassed Rs 800 crore over its opening weekend. But what's even more remarkable is the Hindi version's unprecedented success. Having outperformed the original Telugu version, it is the first Hindi film to earn over Rs 80 crore nett in India on its opening day, setting new benchmarks for box office collections.

According to Sacnilk, "Pushpa 2" collected Rs 141.5 crore nett in India on December 8 alone. The Hindi version contributed Rs 85 crore nett of this total, far outstripping the Telugu version, which earned Rs 44 crore nett. In Tamil Nadu, the film added Rs 9.5 crore to its overall earnings that day.

Even the Malayalam and Kannada versions have made noteworthy contributions, with the Malayalam version earning Rs 1.9 crore and the Kannada version Rs 1.1 crore nett on Sunday. Over its first four days, "Pushpa 2" has amassed a total of Rs 529.45 crore nett in India, with the Hindi version generating Rs 285.7 crore of that sum, making it a key driver of the film's astonishing box office performance.

The latest "Pushpa 2" picks up the narrative where "Pushpa: The Rise" (2021) left off, continuing the tale of red sandalwood smuggling in the rugged terrains of Andhra Pradesh.

Allu Arjun reprises his role as the swaggering Pushpa Raj, a man who defies all odds to rise in the criminal underworld. Rashmika Mandanna returns as Srivalli, while Fahadh Faasil reprises his role as Bhanwar Singh Shekawat, Pushpa's calculating nemesis. The film also features a strong supporting cast, including Jagapathi Babu, Dhananjaya, Rao Ramesh, Sunil, and Anasuya Bharadwaj.
