Ambassadors from the 27 European Union (EU) member states are meeting with Dr Muhammad Yunus, the chief adviser of Bangladesh's interim government, at his Tejgaon office on Monday.

The meeting began around 12pm.

Earlier, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson, Mohammad Rafiqul Alam, shared details about the planned meeting during a weekly briefing on Thursday afternoon.

Rafiqul Alam, director general of the Public Diplomacy Department, mentioned that an ambassador from one additional country would also join the discussions alongside the EU representatives.

The meeting is expected to cover a range of topics, including contemporary issues, enhancing economic cooperation, and exploring potential partnerships between Bangladesh and the EU.

This marks the first occasion where ambassadors from all EU member states have convened to engage directly with the head of government, a move that is anticipated to further strengthen Bangladesh-EU relations.
