Tarique Rahman urges party men to keep up people’s confidence

Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman called upon the party men to make their all-out efforts to keep people’s trust and confidence in the party.

“People are the source of all power in democratic state system and main foundation of our politics is people’s trust and confidence. So, the party men must have to work for keeping up public confidence at any cost,” he told a workshop on virtual platform.

BNP’s Training Affairs Committee organized the workshop on “31-point outline for repairing state structure and public engagement” for party men of Barishal and Rangpur divisions at Shilpakal Academy in Barishal and Rangpur this afternoon.
Tarique Rahman said BNP announced the 31-point outline to present how BNP wants to rebuild the country.

He urged the party men to reach the 31-point outline to people all over the country.
If anyone’s has any logical proposal apart from the 31-point, it will be included in the outline, he mentioned.

The BNP acting chairman underlined the need for running the country in line with the aspirations of the people.

He said some party men have been misguided in the last four months after the ouster of autocratic regime so that people are not supporting their activities.

“BNP leaders and workers’ target should be gaining people’s support, confidence and trust. If you have any other target, you will lose people’s confidence,” he added.

Mentioning that no dictator has been able to sustain permanently, Tarique Rahman said though the people have been freed from the long misrule of Awami League but conspiracy is still being hatched.

He urged the party men to earn people’s trust through good works so that if the party is voted to power, it can sustain with people’s support.

Tarique Rahman said if BNP goes to power, they would form a government with all parties, where all people can express their opinions.

He called upon everyone to work from their own position to fulfill the expectations of the people.

Kuddusur Rahman chaired the workshop in Barishal which was attended by 31-point outline formulation committee members-BNP Chairperson's advisers Ismail Zabiullah and Mujibur Rahman Sarwar, BNP acting Chairman Tarique Rahman's adviser Dr. Mahdi Amin, BNP Assistant Organizing Secretary (Barisal Division)Mahmudul Haque Nannu, and leaders from 8 units of 6 districts of the division.

More than 500 leaders and activists from Barishal participated in the workshop.

In Rangpur, party Organizing Secretary (Rangpur Division) Asadul Habib Dulu presided over the workshop which was attended by BNP Publicity Secretary Sultan Salahuddin Tuku and leaders and activists from Rangpur division.
