Reiser put importance on the WB’s long-standing partnership with Bangladesh, saying that they are committed to continuing their support.

The $2 billion aid package, some of which will go towards budget support and the rest to crucial sectors, he said.

Finance Advisor Salehuddin Ahmed said that the meeting also covered discussions on topics like health, energy, food security and flood rehabilitation, as well as the Rohingya crisis.

He mentioned that the WB is positive about these issues and plans to coordinate with other organizations for Bangladesh's development.

The World Bank Country Director for Bangladesh and Bhutan was also present during the meeting.
