The Police Headquarters has said that various groups, including people from different professions, political leaders, students and the general public, are providing comprehensive support to ensure that police officers can safely return to their workplaces.
It also reported on Thursday that there were rumours suggesting officers were facing "obstacles" on their way to work, but added that no evidence had been found to substantiate these claims.
The police requested everyone not to be misled by these rumours.
Following the fall of the Sheikh Hasina regime on Monday due to student-led protests, several police stations were attacked and set on fire, leading to many officers evacuating their stations due to the threat of attacks.
Then on Wednesday, Md Mainul Islam, the newly appointed inspector general of police, ordered officers to join their respective units within the next 24 hours.
