Mosharraf Karim, Mamo’s ‘Bhalobasa’ on Kolkata’s OTT

Popular Bangladeshi actors Mosharraf Karim and Zakia Bari Mamo-starrer web series “Bhalobasa” has been premiered on a new Kolkata’s OTT platform named “Friday”. The platform “Friday” was launched on Saturday.
Associated officials also confirmed that Friday is also accessible to viewers in Bangladesh.
Abu Hayat Mahmud is the director of series “Bhalobasa”. The director is very happy that his series featured on the platform’s inaugural launch. Talking to the media, he said, “It is matter of pride that, my series has been aired on a foreign OTT platform. I made the series about a year ago, and in January, the platform authorities asked me to send the series to them. ‘Bhalobasa’ is inspired by a true story, based on the deaths of two family members in Mumbai. The series is also portrays the differences in love between three generations.”
Muntaha Britta has written the screen play of the project. Mosharraf Karim and Mamo have played husband-wife in the four episode web series. Ador Azad and Nadia Nodi have also portrayed two important roles in the series.
The OTT platform’s launch lineup also includes “Unishe April” directed by Arindam Sil, “Night of Crime” by Kamaleswar Mukhopadhyay, “Lady Chatterjee” by Sagnik Chattopadhyay, “Ami Nandini” by Arindam Chakraborty, “Necro” by Deep Modak, and “Photash” Kaushik Kar.
Debaloy Bhattacharya’s two series, “Matangi” directed by Dipanjana Suranjana Chanda and Soumik Chatterjee, “Ojha” by Abhirup Ghosh, and “Dharmasangkat” by Souvik Guha and Saheen Akhter will be released on this platform soon.
