All offices will run as per the regular schedule from today, 10 days after the imposition of a curfew following widespread violence during the quota reform movement.
The countrywide curfew was imposed on 19 July midnight and members of the armed forces were deployed following the violence.
The government declared a general holiday for 21, 22 and 23 July on an executive order. Later, the Public Administration Ministry fixed the office hours from 11am to 3pm for 24-25 July and from 9am to 3pm for 28-30 July.
With the improvement in the country’s overall situation amid curfew relaxation, government, semi-government, autonomous and private offices will now run from 9am to 5pm as per the regular schedule. Banks will operate transactions from 10am to 4pm while stock market activities will run from 10am to 2:20pm.
