Bangladesh and European Investment Bank strengthen environmental and economic collaboration

Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Saber Hossain Chowdhury said that Bangladesh and European Investment Bank will strengthen environmental and economic collaboration in the days to come.

He said, “We look forward to a future of robust collaboration that not only addresses climate change but also promotes sustainable economic growth for the people of Bangladesh.”

Environment Minister said this while engaged in a bilateral meeting with Nicola Beer, Vice-President of the European Investment Bank (EIB), on Wednesday in Luxembourg, the financial and banking hub of Europe, said a press release.

Nicola Beer commended the holistic approach presented during the meeting, highlighting its potential to simultaneously tackle climate change and spur economic development.

"It was a very inspiring meeting with Minister Saber Hossain Chowdhury. We welcome this comprehensive strategy to connect the fight against climate change with economic growth, ultimately benefiting Bangladeshi citizens," said Beer.
