DSE fails to start trade due to technical problem

The country's main stock market, the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), could not start trading on time this morning (5 January).

The trading did not start as of filing this report at 10:30am.

The DSE website this morning said that trading could not start on time today "due to unavoidable circumstances."

"Due to unavoidable circumstances, we are unable to start trade at 10:00am. Trade Start time will be announced later," it says on the website.

Earlier on 10 March last year, the DSE website faced another major error as it started showing various wrong information regarding the index.
